Our office is located at Malayilparambil House in the Mamala Post area of Ernakulam. It is a very green and lush part of Kerala, and the office itself is quite modest. We are basically using a converted house for our operations, which is a pretty common thing for us to do in this part of the country. We like it because it feels a lot more personal than working in a cold, grey office block. There is a lot of rain in this region, so we are always dealing with a bit of dampness and making sure our files stay dry. We spend our days tracking the progress of various construction sites scattered across the district. There is usually a fair amount of shouting across the rooms when someone can't find a specific receipt or a map they need. It is a busy atmosphere but it doesn't feel like a high-pressure corporate environment. We just have a lot of work to get through. We usually have a few wet umbrellas drying near the front door. The local tea shop brings us some snacks in the afternoon, which is usually the best part of the day for the staff. We aren't trying to be the flashiest office in Ernakulam. We just want to do our jobs right and keep the projects moving. Most of us have been with the company for a long time.
