It might seem a bit confusing because the name says Gandhidham, but this branch of Gpt Steel Industries Ltd is actually located in Cuttack. We are right in the Buxi Bazar area, very close to the Kesharpur Mosque. This part of Orissa is always full of life and activity. Our shop is right in the middle of it all. Dealing with steel in a crowded market area like Buxi Bazar has its challenges, especially when moving large pieces around, but we make it work. We have been here for quite a while and most of the other shopkeepers nearby are like family to us. The mosque is a good landmark if you are trying to find the place for the first time. We do not have a big fancy office with glass walls. It is a functional space where we handle orders and talk to customers who walk in from the street. Most of our days are spent checking stock and making sure the deliveries are ready for the local sites. The air here always smells like the market and there is a lot of noise, which we have grown to like. We are not trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do our job well and provide the steel people need for their houses and shops. It is a simple life and a simple business, which suits us just fine. We just take things one day at a time and keep moving.
