Dr. Gopal Chandra Das Clinic

We are over in Tulsipur, right in the Srivihar Colony. It’s a nice, quiet part of town compared to the main roads. The clinic is part of the colony life here. We see a lot of the residents who live just a few doors down. Dr. Gopal Chandra Das has his office in the front room. We have a porch where people sometimes wait if the weather is nice. The garden out front has some marigolds and a bit of overgrown grass. It’s not a sterile, cold place; it feels like a house. We have a big wooden desk and some old chairs that have seen a lot of use. The curtains are a bit mismatched, but they keep the sun out in the heat of the afternoon. Tulsipur is a steady place to be. We don't have a big neon sign, just a small board near the gate. People usually find us by word of mouth. We spend a lot of time talking to the neighbors over the fence. The clinic is small, just a couple of rooms for seeing patients. We keep the windows open to let the air circulate. You can hear the birds in the trees outside most of the day. It’s a peaceful spot for a clinic. We’ve been here for years and the floors are worn down in the spots where people walk the most. That’s just the way it is at our place. We keep a bowl of water out for the birds because it gets so dry here in the summer months.
