Bijay Dhaba

We are located at Bhanapur, which you reach by going via Gopalpur. Our dhaba is situated right near the Tata Motors facility. It is a basic eatery where we serve home-style food to anyone passing by on the road. We have been here for a long time and have become a regular stop for many of the truck drivers who work in the area. The building is not very modern. It has a tin roof and open sides to let the breeze in. We spend most of our time in the kitchen area, which is always busy with the sound of frying and the smell of spices. We do not have a menu with hundreds of items. We just make a few things like dal, rice, and different types of bread every day. It is hard work because we have to wake up very early to start the fires and get everything ready for the breakfast crowd. We do not have any waiters in fancy uniforms. It is just us and a couple of local boys helping out with the service. The tables are simple wood and we try to keep them as clean as possible. It is a noisy place because of the highway traffic and the engines from Tata Motors nearby. We just provide a simple meal and a place for people to sit down for a bit before they continue their journey.
