Our spot is right on the SCB Medical Campus, near the GPO area. It's a very busy place to work. There are always people walking around, doctors rushing, and families looking worried. We keep the adhikar ambulance ready right there because every minute counts when you’re on a medical campus. It can be quite loud with all the sirens and the general bustle of the hospital grounds. We spend most of our time maintaining the vehicle and making sure we have enough petrol. Being near the GPO helps too, as it’s a good reference point for people trying to give us directions. The drivers we have know every gate and every building in the SCB campus, which is good because that place is like a maze. We don't have a fancy waiting room; we mostly just stay with the van. It's a practical job. We see a lot of different people every day, from all walks of life. Some are going home, some are coming in for emergencies. We just provide the transport they need. It's not a glamorous life, working shifts and dealing with the heat, but it’s the work we’ve chosen. We try to keep things straightforward and just help out where we can. If someone needs a ride from the campus or the GPO area, they usually find us pretty quickly. We keep a logbook on the dashboard to track the trips we take through the city traffic.
