Prabhu Books

Prabhu Books is located at 2/403 on R S Road. It’s a fairly easy place to find if you’re traveling along that main stretch. We’ve been in this building for quite some time now, and we’ve become a regular stop for many people who live or work nearby. The shop isn't particularly large, but we try to make the most of the space we have. We keep a variety of books on hand, mostly focusing on what the local community asks for the most. Sometimes the shop feels a bit quiet, but then a group of people will come in all at once and it gets quite busy for an hour or two. We don't have any big signs or bright lights to get people's attention. Most of our customers come here because they’ve been coming for years or someone told them about us. We spend our mornings sorting through new stock and making sure the shelves aren't too messy. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting boxes and moving stacks around, but it keeps us active. We aren't trying to be the biggest bookshop around; we just want to be a reliable one. If someone is looking for a particular book and we don't have it, we try to help them find out where it might be. It’s just a normal shop run by normal people who like being around books all day. We close up when the sun goes down and start again the next morning.
