Dr Gurappa R

Dr Gurappa R has been practicing here in Cuddapah for quite some time. The clinic is right opposite the Government Hospital, which makes it easy to find. Traffic out front can be a nightmare sometimes with all the rickshaws and people moving about. We open up early in the morning because that’s when most folks start showing up. The waiting area is small, so it fills up fast. It’s not the most modern place you’ll ever see. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for what we do. We see all sorts of people coming in from the nearby villages. Everyone knows where the government hospital is, so they just cross the street to find us. It gets noisy with the sirens and the market nearby. Dr Gurappa spends a lot of time talking to everyone. Some days we stay late because the line doesn't seem to end. We don’t have any fancy booking systems; you just come in and wait your turn. It’s a bit old-fashioned that way. There’s a tea stall nearby where people go while they wait. We’ve got some old wooden chairs and a fan that clicks a bit. It’s a busy life here in Cuddapah. We just try to help out whoever walks in. Nothing more to it than that. It’s been this way for a long time and we don't expect it to change.
