Ambulance - Sri Laxmi Srinivasa Ambulance Service

Our small team runs the Sri Laxmi Srinivasa Ambulance Service right out of 2/722Nehru Nagar. It is a crowded spot, so we always have to be ready to pull out of the driveway fast. We started this service because the neighborhood needed a reliable way to get to the hospital without waiting forever for a city van to show up. Our main ambulance stays parked right out front. Every morning, one of us checks the oil and the oxygen levels. It’s a routine that keeps us focused. We’ve driven these same streets for years, so we know which turns to avoid when the morning market is in full swing. Nehru Nagar has its traffic problems, but we usually find a way through. It’s not a big company with a call center. When you call, one of us picks up the phone directly. We carry basic medical supplies and a stretcher that’s seen a lot of use but is still sturdy. Sometimes the trips are short, and sometimes we have to drive all the way across the district. We don't have fancy office furniture or a website. We just have a desk, a couple of chairs, and the keys to the van. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy day and night. People around here know the van by sight and they know where to find us if the phone line is down. We just try to be helpful and get people where they need to go without any fuss.
