Yes. Contractor Side Engineer

We are located right on West Sannathi in Chidambaram, near the big temple area. Usually, you can find us at numbers 27 or 28, depending on which door is open that morning. It’s a busy spot with lots of people walking by all the time. Being a contractor side engineer means we spend most of our time looking at blueprints or standing out in the sun at construction sites across Cuddalore district. We started this because there was a clear need for someone to actually watch over the work being done on the ground. It’s not always clean work. There is usually dust everywhere and we spend a lot of time on our phones talking to supervisors and laborers. Sometimes the materials do not show up on time or the weather ruins the schedule for the day. That is just how it goes in this business. We don't have a fancy office with leather chairs and air conditioning. It’s more of a place where we keep our measuring tapes, site diaries, and hard hats. People know us in the neighborhood as the ones who are always busy with some project or the other. We handle the technical side of building things, making sure the math is right and the contractor is following the plan. It’s practical, honest work. We’ve been here for a while now and most of our neighbors know our faces. If we aren't at the desk, we're probably out at a site checking on a foundation or a roof.
