Vel Fire & Safety Engineering

Our shop, Vel Fire & Safety Engineering, is located at number 27 in Sakthi Ganapathy Nagar. It’s a quiet enough part of Kondur, though it has been getting busier lately. We’ve been operating from this same spot for quite some time now. The building is simple and we like it that way. We don't have any big flashy signs, just the one out front that lets people know where we are. Inside, the space is mostly filled with tools, safety gear, and various engineering parts. It’s more of a workshop than an office, to be honest. There’s usually some grease on the floor or dust on the shelves because we’re always working on something. We have a small table where we sit down to do the paperwork and drink our coffee in the morning. The neighbors are mostly families, so we try not to make too much noise early on. Sometimes the street gets blocked if a delivery truck is trying to turn around, which can be a bit of a headache. We don't have a formal dress code or anything like that. We just wear what’s comfortable for moving heavy equipment around. It’s just a few of us here. We know the trade well and we just get on with it. Most of our days are spent checking valves and making sure the fire extinguishers are in good shape. It’s not glamorous, but it’s what we do. The afternoon sun hits the front window pretty hard, so we keep the blinds down then.
