We are located right in the Indira Nagar area, specifically the Type I Quarters in Block-5 here in Neyveli. The office is just a simple place where we handle the chit fund business every day. Most of the people who come in are from around this neighborhood or work in the local units. It’s pretty quiet in the mornings, but gets a bit busier in the evenings when people finish their shifts and stop by to pay their monthly dues. We have been here for a while now, just doing the regular work of managing the chits and making sure everyone gets their money when the auction happens. There isn't much to see, just some desks, chairs, and a lot of registers. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and wait, but that’s just how it is here in Cuddalore district. We know most of our members by their names because they have lived in these quarters for years. It’s a very local thing, really. People come in, have a quick chat about their families, and get their receipts. We don’t have fancy air conditioning or anything, just a few fans that keep the air moving during the summer months.
