Suvai Masala

We are located at 36, Kammatchiamman, Kovil Street in T.Koasappalayam. Our shop is right on the street that leads to the temple, so we get a lot of people walking by throughout the day. We spend most of our time making different kinds of masalas and spice mixes. It is a small operation, and most of the work is done by hand or with a few old machines we have had for a long time. The air in the shop is always thick with the smell of chili and turmeric. Sometimes it makes you sneeze if you are not used to it. We do not have a big corporate office or anything like that; it is just a simple storefront where we work and sell our stuff. People from the neighborhood come by to get their monthly supply of spices. We also have a few local shops that buy from us. It is a lot of work to keep the quality consistent, and we spend a lot of time cleaning the equipment. We are not trying to be famous; we just want to make masalas that people like to use in their cooking. The street can be quite busy during festival times because of the temple nearby. We just keep doing our thing, day in and day out. It is a modest way to earn a living, and we are happy to be part of this community. No fancy slogans here, just spices in bags.
