Slaves Marketing

Down on Yemblam Road, specifically in the Kariyamanikkam area, you will find where we work. The name Slaves Marketing sounds a bit unusual to some, but it's just what the business was called when it started up. We handle a lot of different products that need to get out to the local shops and traders around Yemblam. Our office is pretty basic. We have some old desks, a few chairs that have seen better days, and stacks of invoices piled up. It’s not the kind of place you’d find in a corporate park. We spend most of the day on the phone or talking to drivers who are trying to find their way through the narrow roads around here. It gets quite dusty in the dry season, and the noise from the trucks outside is almost constant. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches. We just focus on getting the goods from point A to point B without too much trouble. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to sit there in the dark waiting for the generator to kick in, but that’s just how it goes in this part of town. It’s hard work and the hours can be long when a shipment is late. We just keep at it because people are waiting for their deliveries. It is a plain, hardworking business that keeps things moving in the neighborhood.
