Selvam & Company

At Selvam & Company, we are located at 6-21, Muthaiya Nagar. This is in the Thirupapuliyur area. We’ve been here for quite some time now. It’s a small operation, mostly just a few of us handling the daily tasks. We do a bit of everything, whatever the customers need when they walk through the door. The building is older but it serves us well. We have a lot of shelves filled with different items. It can get a bit cluttered sometimes, but we know where everything is. Thirupapuliyur is a nice place to work. There’s a sense of community here that you don’t find in the bigger cities. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us for years. We like chatting with them while we work. It’s not just about the business, it’s about the people. We try to be fair and honest with everyone. If we can’t help with something, we’ll usually know someone who can. The morning sun comes right into the shop, which makes it feel warm. We usually have a radio playing in the background. Nothing too loud, just something to keep us going. We aren't looking to expand or become a big corporation. We are happy right where we are, doing what we do every day. It’s a simple life and we wouldn't change it much. It just works for us.
