Raja Lathe Works

Raja Lathe Works is located at No : 5 on Uthiriyal Road. It’s a small shop, but it serves the purpose. We’ve been operating the lathes here for quite some time. The floor is usually covered in those curly metal shavings that come off the machines. We don’t have a website or any of that, just this physical shop. People bring in axles, pins, and all sorts of round metal parts that need resizing. We spend our day measuring and cutting. It’s repetitive work, but you have to be careful with the dimensions. The road outside isn't too noisy, which is nice. We know most of the people who live nearby. Some of them stop by just to say hello while we’re working. We don't have any corporate structure. It’s just a few of us making a living. The machines are the most important thing we own. We keep them oiled and running. Sometimes they break down and we have to fix them ourselves before we can get back to the customer’s work. That’s just part of owning a workshop. We aren't looking to become a giant company. We just like doing this specific type of work. If someone has a piece of metal that needs turning, they know where to find us. We’ve been here at number 5 for years and we’ll likely be here for many more. It’s not a fancy life, but it suits us well enough. We get the jobs done and that is that.
