Ponni Engineering

Our workshop is situated at 79, Pondy Main Road, on the corner of Pillaiyar Koil Street in Periyakanganakuppam. It’s a very busy area with a lot of people and vehicles passing by all the time. Being right on the main road makes it easy for people to find us, which is good. We’ve been doing engineering work here for many years. It’s a traditional kind of shop where we handle welding, machining, and various repairs. The building is older and has a lot of character, though it can be a bit drafty when the wind picks up. We have a few lathes and other machines that we use every day. It’s often quite noisy with the sound of metal being cut or ground down. We are just a small team of local workers. We don't have an office staff or anyone to answer the phones, so if we're busy with a machine, it might take a minute to get to the door. We prefer it that way. It’s a simple, honest business. People bring us their broken farm equipment or parts from their shops, and we do our best to get them working again. We don't have any polished mission statements or marketing brochures. We enjoy what we do. It’s satisfying to take a piece of raw metal and turn it into something useful. We’re just a local business trying to make a living and help out our neighbors with their engineering needs. It’s a noisy life but it’s okay.
