P K Engineering

Our place, P K Engineering, is at 58 Alampalam Road. We’re quite close to Nochikuttai, which is how most people find their way to us. It’s a pretty simple setup we’ve got here. The shop is basically a large shed filled with the stuff we need to get our work done. We aren't a big company with a board of directors. It’s just a small group of us who know how to handle tools and machinery. The road outside can get a bit muddy when it rains, and it’s usually dusty when it’s dry, but that’s just life on Alampalam Road. We spend most of our time out on the floor, so the small office we have doesn't get used much except for keeping some basic records. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or shiny trucks. We’d rather just focus on the job at hand. Sometimes customers bring in things that are pretty beat up, and we do what we can to get them working again. It’s honest work and it keeps us going. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a while and know the local folks well. They know they can just walk in and talk to us about what they need. We don't have a formal way of doing things. We just listen, figure it out, and get to work. That’s how we like it. We usually start early and finish when the light starts to fade.
