Krishna Rice Mill

Krishna Rice Mill is located right in Munnur-Village, which is part of the Dindivama-Taluk area in the Dist-Villupuram region. We spend our days here surrounded by bags of grain and the loud hum of the milling machines. It is not a quiet place, especially when the harvest comes in and the farmers are lining up outside the post. The dust from the husks gets everywhere, on our clothes and in our hair, but that is just how it goes when you run a mill in the village. We have been in this spot for quite a while now. The building is just a simple structure with a tin roof that makes a lot of noise when it rains in Villupuram. We don't have a fancy reception area or people in suits. Most of the time, it is just us and a few workers moving sacks around and making sure the machinery is greased properly. The road outside is usually dusty and we see the local cattle wandering past the gate. People from around the taluk know where to find us because we have been at this address since I was much younger. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot and we finish up when the work is done. It is a plain life, focusing on the rice and making sure the bags are filled correctly before they go out. There isn't much more to it than that.
