Jothilakshmi Vaddi Kadai

Jothilakshmi Vaddi Kadai is located at 76, Main Road in Kurinjipadi. It is a straightforward place where we handle the daily business of the shop. Being right on the Main Road means we see a lot of people coming and going all the time. Kurinjipadi is a small enough place that you start to recognize the faces of everyone who walks past the front door. We have been sitting here at number 76 for quite a while now. The shop is not very large, but it serves its purpose for the community. Most of our day is spent talking to people and managing the ledgers. It can get a bit loud with the buses and cars rushing by outside, but we don't mind it much anymore. Sometimes the weather gets really hot and we just sit under the fan waiting for the next person to come in. We don't have any fancy decorations or big signs, just the basics to keep the place running. It is a very hands-on kind of job where you have to be careful with the details. We grew up around here, so we know the area and the people pretty well. It’s just a regular life here, opening up in the morning and closing when the sun goes down. There isn't much to it besides that. If you are in the neighborhood, you'll find us right there on the busy part of the road where the shops are.
