Jananei Medical

Our medical shop is located at No-2 on Anna Salai in Block 21 of the Neyveli Township. We are quite close to Jawahar Arts & Science College, so we get a lot of students and staff passing by our door every day. The shop is a standard medical store where we keep a variety of medicines and health supplies on the shelves. Neyveli is a unique place with all the different blocks, and being in Block 21 means we serve a lot of the families living in this part of the township. The counter is usually piled with prescriptions and notebooks where we keep track of things. It’s a small space, filled from floor to ceiling with boxes and bottles. Sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what someone is looking for, but we usually have the basics in stock. We open early in the morning and stay open until the evening when the streets get a bit quieter. There isn't much room for people to hang around, so it’s usually just in and out for most customers. We’ve become a regular stop for folks coming home from work or school. The college being nearby adds a bit of energy to the street. We just focus on getting the right medicine to the right person. It is a simple, honest business and we’ve been part of this neighborhood for a while, watching the students come and go over the years. We just keep the shelves stocked and the doors open.
