Ayyadurai Ice Plant

We run the Ayyadurai Ice Plant over in Kudikadu. We are right at 64 Dharmalingam Street. If you know where the Tanfac Industry is, we are just opposite that. It is an industrial kind of area, so it is always active around here. We spend most of our time making and moving ice blocks. It is a heavy job but someone has to do it. The plant has been here for a good while. We see a lot of workers from the nearby industries coming and going throughout the shift. It gets quite loud with the machines running all day. We just try to keep up with the demand. The location is convenient for the trucks to pull in and out. It is a straightforward business. We do not have a big front office or anything like that. Just the main floor where the ice is made and stored. Sometimes the street gets crowded with lorries. We keep our heads down and do the work. Being across from Tanfac makes it easy for people to find us if they have not been here before. We have lived and worked in this part of Kudikadu for years. It is just a regular day-to-day operation for us. Nothing special, just keeping things cold for whoever needs it. We do not have a website or anything, we just stay here at the factory and wait for the orders to come in. The men from the docks sometimes come by too.
