Arumugam Spices

If you go down to 789 in Cuddalore Old Town, you will find Arumugam Spices. We have been in this spot for many years now, and the building shows its age a little bit, but it works for us. Cuddalore is a place with a lot of history, and we feel like we are just a small part of that. We handle spices of all kinds, mostly in bulk. The smell of the shop is very strong, a mix of everything from cumin to black pepper. We do a lot of things by hand here, like sorting through the raw materials to make sure they are clean. It is not a high-tech operation with robots or anything; it is just us using our hands and simple tools. We know the other shopkeepers on the street and we all look out for each other. Some days the rain comes down hard and we have to make sure everything stays dry, which can be a real scramble. We do not have a fancy office or a big sign with flashing lights. We just have our stock and a counter where we talk to people. It is a straightforward business without any complications. We take things one day at a time and try to keep our customers happy by giving them what they need. It is hard work, but we are used to it by now.
