Ameen Agencies

We are over at 176 West Car Street. It is a busy area and we have been operating Ameen Agencies from this building for quite some time. We sell a variety of products that local businesses and families need. The shop is quite deep and we have stuff stored all the way to the back. Every morning, we have to haul some of the larger items out to the front so people can see we are open. It is a lot of physical work and my arms are usually tired by noon. West Car Street is a narrow place, so it gets very crowded when the carts and bikes are all trying to pass at once. We know the other shopkeepers well and we often help each other out with change or moving heavy loads. We don't use any modern inventory software. I just keep a notebook where I write down what we sell and what we need to order. It is a bit slow, but it works for us. Sometimes we run out of stock because the supplier didn't show up on time, and we just have to apologize to the customers. We have a small stool near the entrance where I sit when things are quiet. The building has high ceilings which helps keep it cool when the sun is out. It’s just a regular agency doing our daily business. We don't have any big plans to expand, we just want to keep things going.
