Philip Trading

Philip Trading is located at 44, New Mkt. Rd., right in the Missebo area. It’s a place that stays busy from early morning until the shops start closing down. The street noise is just part of the background for us now. We’ve got a lot of items coming in and out, so the space can get a bit cluttered if we aren’t careful. It’s not the biggest place on the road, but we make it work. Most of our day involves checking inventory and talking to folks who stop by. We have a small desk near the front where we keep the ledger and the phone. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit by the door where there is more light until it comes back on. That’s just life on New Mkt. Rd. for you. We know the other shopkeepers around Missebo pretty well. We often share news or complain about the weather together during the slow hours. The building itself has seen better days, but it is sturdy enough for what we need. We don’t really have any fancy signs or decorations. We just have the name on the door so people know they are in the right spot. It’s a practical setup. We come in, we handle the trading, and we make sure the shutters are locked tight at the end of the day. It is simple work, really. We don't need much more than this little corner of the market to keep us going.
