Tore Inchare @Purchese

Up here in the Nilgiris, things move a bit differently. We are based at Singara Estate in Coonoor. The office is run by V. Thomas and S. Vincent Xavier. It is a beautiful part of the country, very green with all the tea estates around. Our building is part of the estate landscape. It is not a modern office building by any means. It has that old-fashioned feel that you only get in places like Coonoor. We handle the purchase and storage things, which means we are often checking through lists and seeing what has arrived. The air is much cooler up here than down in the plains, so we don't need fans or air conditioning. We just leave the windows open. You can often hear the birds or the sound of the workers out in the fields. It is a very peaceful place to work, even when we are busy with orders. Sometimes the mist rolls in and you can't see very far out the window. We drink a lot of tea, as you might imagine. It is just a small operation, very personal and direct. We know the people we deal with and they know us. There is no corporate ladder here, just a few of us making sure everything at Tore Inchare @Purchese is running like it should. It is a simple life but we like the pace of the hills. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow because of the weather, but we manage just fine.
