Sri Lakshmi Narayani Traders

Our operation is set up at No: 41/111 E on Groves Hill Road. Sri Lakshmi Narayani Traders has been running out of this location for a good many years. This place is more like a mix between a warehouse and a small office rather than a typical retail shop. We handle a lot of different goods and keep them stored here in the back until they are ready to be sent out to where they need to go. The road right outside our door can get quite muddy and messy when the monsoon rains hit, but we just deal with it. Inside, the space is mostly filled with tall shelves and big stacks of ledgers on the desks. We do not get many people just walking in off the street because our work is mostly done over the telephone. It is all about the trucks coming in to load or unload the crates. The staff here is just a few guys from the neighborhood who have memorized where every single item is kept. We don't use any of those high-tech computer systems for tracking things. We just use old notebooks and our own memories. It gets really hot in the middle of the day under this roof, so we usually take a break to sit in the shade then. Groves Hill Road is a fairly quiet spot, which is fine for us. We don't spend money on making the place look fancy.
