Down in Gudalur, specifically in the Mathamagalam area of Erumedu, you’ll find us at No. 3/32. It’s a bit out of the way, surrounded by a lot of greenery and trees. This is where we run Flavours. The building is simple, just stone and mortar, and it stays relatively cool even when the sun is out. We handle a variety of local products here, mostly things that grow in the surrounding hills. The air around our place often smells like whatever we are processing that day, whether it’s spices or something else. We don't have a big team, just a handful of us who live nearby and walk to work. The road to Erumedu can be a bit rough after the rains, so we sometimes have trouble getting supplies in or out on time. Inside, things are pretty basic. We have some scales, some packing materials, and a couple of tables for sorting. There’s no air conditioning, just the breeze coming through the open door. We spend our time checking the quality of what the local growers bring us. It’s a lot of manual labor and standing on our feet, but we’re used to it. We don't do much in the way of advertising; people around here just know where we are and what we do. It’s a slow pace of life, but it suits us just fine.
