Family Supermarket

We are the Family Supermarket over at 118 Pallivasal Street in Sungu Pettai. It’s not a massive store like the ones you see in the big cities, but we have most of the essentials. We spend our mornings unloading crates and trying to find space on the shelves for everything. It gets pretty crowded in here when the afternoon rush hits. People from the neighborhood stop by for milk, rice, or whatever they forgot to buy earlier in the week. The street outside can get a bit loud with the temple nearby and all the foot traffic. We’ve got a few staff members who have been with us for years. We know who likes which brand of tea and which kids are going to ask for a piece of candy. The floors are a bit scuffed and the shelves aren't always perfectly lined up, but that is just how it is when you’re busy. Sometimes we run out of things because the delivery truck got stuck, and we just have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s a local business, run by local people. We don't have a fancy website or a loyalty program with plastic cards. We just remember your face and say hello when you walk in. It’s a lot of hours on our feet, but seeing the same families come in week after week makes it feel like we are part of the community. We just keep the lights on and the snacks stocked for whoever stops by.
