Our place is at No. 14 Subbu Raj Chettiar Compound, near Wood Lands. It’s a bit of an old-school setup, but it suits us just fine. The compound has its own character and we’ve been here long enough that we don’t really notice the quirks anymore. The office is basically where we coordinate everything. There’s a lot of back and forth with suppliers and the guys out on the sites. We keep a lot of records in big physical binders because that’s just how we’ve always done it. It might seem a bit outdated to some, but it works for what we need. The area around Wood Lands is pretty busy, but our little corner in the compound stays relatively peaceful. We usually have a lot of people dropping by throughout the day. Some are looking for work, others are just stopping by for a chat. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a job is going to take a month, we say it’ll take a month. There’s no point in telling people what they want to hear if it isn't true. We’ve seen a lot of changes in the city over the years. Roads get wider, buildings get taller, but our daily grind remains pretty much the same. We just keep moving forward, one project at a time. It is a steady life and we are happy to be part of the local scene.
