Rajbanshi Development Council

The Rajbanshi Development Council is located in Mathabhanga, which is part of Cooch Behar. We are based at Parimal Barman’s place in Ward Number 11, specifically in the Pachagar area. It’s a quiet part of town, and our office is just a regular building that blends in with the rest of the street. We’ve been here for a while now, and the local people know where to find us. Inside, it’s pretty basic. We have a few wooden desks, some old cupboards for files, and enough chairs for everyone to sit down during meetings. It isn't air-conditioned or anything, so it gets pretty warm during the summer months. We just open the windows and keep going. The walls are mostly bare, except for maybe a calendar or a notice pinned up. We don't spend money on making the place look fancy because that’s not what we’re about. We’re more interested in the actual work we do every day. Sometimes the rains make it hard to get to the office because the roads around Pachagar can get a bit muddy, but we usually manage. It’s a straightforward setup for people who just want to get things done. We don't have a PR team or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. We just speak plainly and work hard from our little corner of West Bengal. It’s a small operation, but it’s ours and we keep it running as best as we can.
