Omdiptajyoti Skillsfoundation is based out in Mahish, near the Manindra Nath High School. We are located in Bathan, staying at Lipika Debnath's place for our operations. It's a quiet spot in Cooch Behar, away from the bigger cities. We spend our time working on skill development stuff because that’s what is needed in this part of West Bengal. It’s not a big office with glass walls; it’s more of a local setup where everyone knows each other. We’ve been here for a bit now, just trying to make sense of the work we have to do every day. Sometimes the internet is slow or the power goes out, but we manage. People from the village stop by occasionally to see what's going on. We don't have a lot of fancy brochures. We just talk to people and try to help where we can with the skills training. It's practical work. We mostly deal with folks from the surrounding areas of Koch Bihar. The school nearby keeps the area lively during the day. We’re just a small group of people trying to do something useful in our corner of the world. It’s hard work, but it feels right being here in the village instead of some far-off city office. We keep our doors open and just take things one day at a time.
