We are located in Dinhata, over in Koch Bihar. Our office is on Balarampur Road, specifically at Ward Number 5. If you know where the Nazirhat or Burirhat auto stand is, we are right near there at Amal Kumar Mandal’s place. It’s a very busy spot because of all the autos and people moving around the stand. The noise from the horns and the people shouting for passengers is something we hear all day long. Our office is small and functional. We have the basic things we need to run the Nidhi company. We spend a lot of time checking the daily collections and making sure the entries in the passbooks are correct. It’s a local business, so we don’t have any of that corporate stuff you find in the bigger cities. People from the nearby villages and the town itself come to us. We try to be quick so people can get back to their work. Sometimes the office gets crowded, and people have to wait outside on the steps. We don't mind the busyness; it makes the day go by faster. Koch Bihar can be quite humid, so we keep the fans on high. It’s just a regular office doing its best to stay on top of the daily grind in Dinhata. The evening market nearby always smells like fried snacks, which is nice.
