You can find us over at Maitry Mansion on BC Road. It’s pretty easy to spot because we are right near the railgate, which everyone in Coochbehar uses as a landmark. If you are looking for the Mitali Sangha building, we are just a short walk from there. Barun Kumar Maitry is the one who helps keep things running at this location. The office isn't very big, but it fits our desks and the few chairs we have for visitors. When the trains go by the railgate, the whole place shakes just a little bit, but we’ve all gotten used to the sound by now. It’s actually kind of nice because it lets us know what time of day it is without looking at the clock. We spend most of our mornings going through the mail and updating our ledgers. The fans on the ceiling hum pretty loud, especially in the summer heat. We don't have a big reception desk or a waiting room; people just come in and find a spot to sit down. Most of our neighbors are local shopkeepers, so we see them passing by all day long. Sometimes we step out to the railgate to grab a snack from the vendors when we get hungry. It’s a busy little corner of Coochbehar, and we like being right in the middle of all that activity.
