Sri Ganesh Store

Sri Ganesh Store is a small place located in Chota Metia Basti, right near the Gayatri Mandir. We are in Jaigaon, which is up in the Alipurduar district. It is a busy little area, especially being so close to the temple. We sell a lot of everyday things that people in the neighborhood need, like snacks, soap, and other household stuff. Most of our customers are our neighbors who we see every single day. We open up early and stay open until late to make sure people can get what they need after work. Being near Gayatri Mandir means we get some visitors passing through too. It is a simple shop with shelves and a counter, nothing special to look at. We try to keep things in stock but sometimes the delivery trucks are late coming up to Jaigaon. We have been here for a good while and have watched the kids in the basti grow up. It is a family thing, we all take turns behind the counter. Sometimes it gets crowded when everyone comes in at once, but we manage. We don't do any big sales or promotions, we just sell things at a fair price. The rain can be pretty heavy here in Alipurduar, but we keep the shop dry and the tea hot. It is a quiet life and we are happy to serve the folks who live around us.
