Paul Electricals

I started Paul Electricals to help out with the basic stuff people need for their homes. We are located in the Alipurduar area, specifically around Dhubri and Nayarhat, near Kharija Kawardara. It’s a region where people know each other, so I see a lot of the same faces coming in for light bulbs, switches, or rolls of wire. The shop is small and smells a bit like copper and plastic because of all the electrical components. I keep the bins of screws and wall plugs on the counter so people can just grab what they need. It’s not a shiny showroom; it’s more of a workshop feel. There is a small bench where I sometimes test out fans or motors to see why they stopped spinning. The walls are covered in calendars from past years that I never took down. Outside, the weather can get pretty rough, so we often have people coming in after a storm looking for things to fix their wiring. I try to keep a good stock of the basic things because getting deliveries out here can take a few days. It’s just me running the place most of the time. If I’m not at the counter, I might be in the back sorting through a new shipment of PVC pipes. It’s simple work, but it keeps the lights on for the people around here.
