Mphasis Engineers Co-Op Ltd. is based in Melarmath village. Our post office and police station are both in Haldibari. Being a co-operative means we work together as a group. We’ve been in the Melarmath area for some time now. It’s not a fancy corporate headquarters. It’s more of a place where we gather to plan out our engineering tasks. Haldibari is a small place, so word travels fast about what we are doing. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on the work we’ve done in the past. Most of the members of the co-operative live nearby. We share the responsibilities and the chores around the office. Sometimes it gets a bit disorganized, but we always manage to find what we need. Engineering can be complicated, but we try to explain things in a way that makes sense to everyone. We spend a lot of time out in the field, so Melarmath is mostly where we keep the paperwork. It’s a quiet village and we like it that way. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just want to do decent engineering work for the people around Haldibari.
