Maruti Masala

Maruti Masala is based out in the village of Purba Bholardabri. It is part of the Bholardabri post office area under the Alipurduar police station. Out here, things move a bit slower than in the big cities, which suits us just fine. We spend our days working with different spices, drying them out and getting them ready. The smell of masala is always hanging in the air around our place, sometimes it makes you sneeze if you aren't used to it. We aren't a big factory with hundreds of workers, just a local setup in the village where we do things our own way. The roads around Purba Bholardabri can be a bit rough, especially when it rains, but we manage to get everything where it needs to go. We have lived in this part of Alipurduar for a long time, so we know the local farmers and the families nearby. Our work is quite repetitive, involving a lot of sorting, cleaning, and packing, but it keeps us busy. We don't use any high-tech systems, just the old-fashioned methods that have worked for years. The sun sets early over the fields here, and that is usually when we start wrapping up for the day. It is hard work and your hands usually end up stained with the colors of the spices, but it’s a living. We’re just a small part of this village doing what we know how to do best for our neighbors.
