We are located right on NH 31 in Jaigaon, which is a busy place to be. Being in Alipurduar district, we see a lot of people passing through on their way to the border. The highway is always loud with the sound of heavy trucks, and the air is usually thick with exhaust. Our building is right there on the edge of the road. It’s not much to look at, but it serves us well. Most of us here have lived in this part of West Bengal our whole lives. We understand how the weather can change in a minute, going from burning heat to a heavy downpour. That usually messes up our schedules, but we just work around it. Inside the office, things are a bit cluttered with ledgers and files. We don’t use any high-tech systems, just the basics that have worked for us for years. You’ll usually find a few of us sitting around the main table talking about the day's tasks. There is no dress code here, we just wear what is comfortable for the weather. It is a lot of hard work keeping things moving, and we don't have time for anything that isn't necessary. People know us as the guys on the highway who just get things done. We don't do any big promotions. If you need us, you just stop by the office. It is just part of the daily routine for us.
