We are located out in the village of A.G Adabari in Coochbehar. It’s a bit of a quiet area compared to the big cities, but that’s how we like it for the kind of work we do. GENETIC FARM FORESTRY & BIOTECH DEVELOPMENT PRIVATE LIMITED is a long name, but we’re just a group of people interested in plants and trees. We spend a lot of time outside in the fields. The post office is in Kismat Adabari, and the police station is in Setai. It’s a very local operation. We don't have any fancy lab coats or high-tech buildings. Most of our work is about getting our hands dirty and seeing what grows. West Bengal has good soil, so we make the most of it. We started this because we wanted to see things improve in our own area. It’s not about making a huge profit or being a corporate giant. We just want to help the forestry and farming around here. Some days the rain is heavy and we can't do much, so we sit under the porch and talk. We don't have a big marketing budget. Most people know us because they live in the nearby villages. It’s slow work, but it’s rewarding in its own way. We take it one season at a time and see what happens. It's just us out here in the green, watching the saplings grow day by day until they are ready.
