Abr Engineering

Up here in Daragaon, Jaigaon, we run Abr Engineering. We’re located in the Jalpaiguri district, not too far from the border. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you aren’t from the area, but it’s a beautiful place to work. The office is pretty basic, just a concrete building where we keep our tools and paperwork. We do a lot of technical work, so there’s always something being measured or fixed. The weather can be quite unpredictable, with heavy rains often slowing us down. When it’s pouring outside, we huddle in the back and work on designs or catch up on maintenance. Most of the staff are locals from the surrounding villages. We’ve all known each other for years, so the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. We don't have any fancy marketing plans or big slogans. We just take the jobs as they come and try to finish them properly. You might find some grease on the table or some dust on the shelves, but that’s just the nature of engineering work in a place like this. We spend a lot of time on our feet, either in the workshop or visiting project sites nearby. It’s a humble setup, but we’ve managed to keep things going through all sorts of challenges. If you ever find yourself in Daragaon, you’ll probably see our sign near the road. It’s just us doing what we know how to do.
