Shine & Glow Beauty Clinic is tucked away in Udbadal Manosha Tola in East Midnapur. It is a local place where women from around the village come to get their hair done or maybe get a facial when there is a wedding or a festival coming up. The shop is simple and we don’t have all those high-end machines you see in the big cities, but we know how to do the work well. We spend a lot of time talking with the ladies who come in; it’s almost like a small community hub here. Whether it is threading eyebrows or putting on some henna, we just do it carefully. The area around Manosha Tola is quiet most of the time, and we like it that way. We started this clinic because there weren't many places nearby where someone could just go and feel a bit better about how they look without spending a fortune. We use the products that we know work and don’t try to sell anyone things they don't need. Sometimes the power goes out or it gets a bit dusty from the road, but that is just life here in Midnapur. We keep the mirrors clean and the chairs ready for whoever walks through the door next. It's a modest little spot, but it’s ours and we take pride in the simple service we provide to our neighbors every day. It is a small business that keeps us busy and connected to the people around us.
