Ganapati Pipes & Industries (P) Ltd.

The factory is out in Pharder, which is part of the Belda area in West Midnapur. It is quite a distance from the main city, so it is a bit quieter out here except for the sound of the machines. We make pipes and other industrial items here at Ganapati Pipes. The yard is usually full of raw materials and finished products waiting to be loaded onto trucks. It is a big space but it always feels full because of how much we produce. The weather out here in Midnapur can be tough, really hot in the summer and very wet during the monsoon season. We have to make sure the pipes are stored right so the rain does not mess things up. Most of the guys working here are from the nearby villages. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot. There is always someone checking the machines or moving things around with the forklift. It is heavy work and your hands get dirty pretty quickly. We do not have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It is just a place where we manufacture stuff and get it ready for the distributors. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but we just use that time to grab a snack or check the inventory lists again. It is a practical way to spend the day and we just keep the production moving as best as we can.
