The mill is over on Agraharam Rajaji Street in Mettupalayam. If you walk down 8-B, you will find Zion Paper Mills. It is an old-school kind of setup. Paper making is a noisy and wet business, honestly. There is always the sound of machinery and the smell of pulp in the air. We have been here for a while, just doing our thing. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we all know each other well. It is not like those big city offices where nobody says hello. We have our routine. The trucks come in with raw materials and leave with rolls of paper. Mettupalayam is a good place for this because of the water and the roads. We spend a lot of time on the factory floor instead of sitting behind desks. There is always a machine that needs oiling or a stack of paper that needs moving. It is not a clean job, you get dust on your clothes and ink on your hands. We do not spend money on fancy signs or advertising. Most of our customers have been buying from us for years. They know where we are on Rajaji Street. We just try to keep the machines running and the orders filled. It is steady work and it keeps us busy from morning till evening. It is a simple life running a mill and we are happy to stay right here.
