If you know Tirupur, you know how busy Avinashi Road can get at almost any time of the day. Our office is in Periyar Colony, right on the first street. We’re up on the third floor of a plain-looking building. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren’t looking for it, but we like it that way. Most of our work involves the textile and manufacturing world that this town is famous for. We don’t run a massive factory ourselves; we focus on the coordination side of things. Our office is a mix of desks, sample boxes, and a lot of ringing phones. It can get pretty loud when several people are trying to talk to suppliers at once. We don’t have a formal dress code or anything like that. Most days, we just wear what is comfortable for the weather, which is usually quite hot. We spend a lot of time on our computers and on the phone, tracking orders and making sure everything is moving along the supply chain. Sometimes we have to deal with power outages or trucks that get stuck in the narrow streets of Anupparpalayam. It’s just part of the daily grind here. We don't try to make our work sound more important than it is. We are just a small team of people trying to keep things organized in a very busy industry. It’s honest work and it keeps us on our toes.
