Z Dry Fruits

Our little place is over at 60/3 in Kasthuri Garden. If you know the Krishnarayapuram area, you probably know where we are. Chettipalayam is just down the way, so we get a lot of people passing through Pothanur who stop in to see what we have. At Z Dry Fruits, we spend most of the day sorting through bags. It’s a lot of manual work, honestly. We have bags of almonds and cashews piled up in the corners. The floor is usually covered in bits of shell or dust from the sacks. It smells like roasted nuts most of the time, which isn't a bad thing. We don't have a big fancy storefront with bright lights. It’s just a basic room where we keep everything cool and dry. Sometimes the delivery guys get lost trying to find Kasthuri Garden, so we have to go out to the main road to wave them down. It gets pretty humid here, which makes the work a bit slower in the afternoons. We’ve got a couple of fans running all day but they don't do much against the heat. The neighbors are nice, mostly other small shops and some houses nearby. We just try to get the orders ready for whoever needs them. It’s not complicated work, but it takes time to get it right. We’ve been here at this address for a bit now and people in Pothanur seem to know us well.
