Vision Cotton & Garments

We are out on Mettupalayam Road, specifically at No. 1/101 in the Press Colony Post area. Vision Cotton & Garments is a place that stays pretty busy with the sound of sewing machines and the rustle of fabric. Being near the main road means there is always a bit of noise from the trucks going by, but we don't mind it much anymore. We deal with a lot of cotton here, so there is usually lint in the air and piles of scraps in the corners. It is a practical space, not a showroom. We spend our time cutting patterns and making sure the stitching is decent. The heat can get a bit much in the afternoons, especially with the machines running, but we have a few fans going to keep us moving. We started this because we knew how to handle garments and wanted to do it on our own terms. The staff here are mostly locals from around the Press Colony area who have been doing this kind of work their whole lives. We don't have any big speeches about what we do; we just show up and get the sewing done. Sometimes the orders are big and we stay late, other times it is a bit slower and we catch up on cleaning the workspace. It is just a regular garment unit trying to keep things steady and provide for our families.
