Vipro Garments

Vipro Garments is located at No. 32 East 2nd Street in Ramaiya Colony. We’ve been here in this neighborhood for a good stretch of time. Our daily routine is pretty much the same—cutting fabric, checking seams, and making sure the machines are running okay. It’s noisy in the shop most afternoons but you get used to it. Ramaiya Colony is a decent place to work, though parking on East 2nd Street can be a real pain sometimes. We aren't trying to be the biggest factory around, just a steady one. Most of the staff live nearby, so we all know each other’s families and stuff. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a batch of shirts or trousers if a deadline is coming up fast. The lighting in the back room isn't the best, but we make it work. We use simple tools and decent materials we find locally. It’s hard work, and your back usually hurts by five o’clock, but there’s a sense of pride in seeing a finished pile of clothes ready to go out. We don't do much advertising; people usually find us through word of mouth or just by walking past the door. If you come by, you might hear the radio playing over the hum of the sewing machines. It's just a normal workplace with normal people doing their jobs every day. We just focus on the task at hand and try not to overcomplicate things.
