You can find Alpha Nanotech Cbe at No. 14/2 in Kalaivani Nagar. It is tucked away in Vilankuruchi, which is a fairly nice and quiet part of town. People often think nanotech means we have a giant glass building with robots, but it is actually just a modest little setup here. We have some specialized equipment that takes up nearly all of the available desk space. The surfaces have to stay fairly clean, so we are always wiping down the benches with alcohol. It is a lot of quiet work, mostly looking at small components and taking notes in our journals. Sometimes we have to stay quite late when a specific test is running. The coffee machine in the corner is probably the most used piece of equipment in the whole office. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who actually know how the older machines work. The neighborhood is mostly houses, so it is a peaceful place to think and get things done. Sometimes the internet goes very slow, which is frustrating when we need to send data to someone. We have a small concrete porch where we sit and eat our lunch most days. It is not a corporate environment at all. We wear jeans and old t-shirts most of the time. We are just focused on the technical side of things and making sure the results are right.
