Veejay Lakshmi Engg Works

This is the workshop for Veejay Lakshmi Engg Works. You can find us out at 2/45 in Vellamadai, which is near Vaiyampalyam in the Cbe-641110 area. It’s a bit of a drive out here but we have been in this spot for quite some time. The shop floor stays pretty loud with all the machines running. We do engineering work, mostly stuff that people around here need done for their projects. It is a local operation, nothing too big or flashy. There are usually a few of us around the back fixing things or measuring parts. The address is a little specific because of how the post reaches us here. Sometimes the mail takes a while to arrive. We have tools scattered around and grease on the floor, but we know where everything is kept. It’s just how a real workshop looks when people are actually working in it every day. We don't spend much time in the front office because there is always something that needs adjusting on the lathes. If you come by, you might have to shout over the noise to get someone’s attention. We keep the doors open mostly to let the air move through while we work on the metal pieces. It is a simple way of doing business, just taking the jobs as they come in and making sure the parts fit right. That is what we do here in Vellamadai.
