Vedanta Academy

Vedanta Academy is located at Sf No 342 on the Pollachi Road in Seerapalayam. It’s on the outskirts of Coimbatore, so it feels a bit more rural than being in the middle of town. The drive out here takes you past some fields and smaller industrial units. Our building is a large, square structure that stands out a bit from the surroundings. We have quite a lot of land around the school, which is mostly just grass and some dirt paths. Inside, the layout is very simple. There are long corridors and classrooms on both sides. The floors are made of grey stone which stays cool even when it’s hot outside. We don't have any fancy art on the walls, just the necessary signs and maybe a few student projects pinned up. It’s a quiet place to work and learn because we are far enough from the main city noise. You can hear the buses going by on Pollachi Road every now and then. We have a small office near the entrance where we keep all the records and files in big metal cupboards. The furniture is all mismatched but it does the job. Most of us have been working here for years and we know the local area well. It’s a plain, honest kind of place. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We just open up early, do our work, and head home in the evening.
